When you visit a foreign country to pursue your favorite sport, making contact with the locals can be a very enlightening experience. It's always fun to go out with locals who know the the tricks and secrets of their home trails. We're lucky that in Hidalgo there is a small but dedicated group of local moutain bikers who are delighted to make contact with the outside world and eager to show you their favorite 'pistas'. If you like, you can help them make and maintain trails in the Potrero, or join them and their friends from Monterrey in a mountain bike race. Incidentally, they climb too, if you are looking for partners!
