Cerro Gordo, a great place to stay while visiting the spectacular Potrero
Chico near the town of Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. With hundreds of bolted
routes and an inspiring setting, Potrero Chico is one of the world's premier
sport climbing destinations, and one of the very few in North America
where you can climb in comfort during the winter holidays.
The Rancho is
a modest, family-run business providing a clean and convenient place to
stay with a 15-minute stroll to (and a great view of) the Potrero's towering
limestone cliffs. Whether you camp in your tent or vehicle, or prefer
to rent a "casita" (literally a small house in Spanish), you
will have a safe, comfortable, and memorable experience here.
